Sesame Projects produced a comprehensive two-part activation celebrating nanamica's 20-year partnership with GORE-TEX, blending archival storytelling with community engagement.
The centerpiece was "Weatherproof: 20 Years of nanamica and the GORE-TEX Brand," a curated in-store exhibition at nanamica NEW YORK featuring 30 archival outerwear pieces and behind-the-scenes production insights.
The opening night brought together press, industry peers, and brand loyalists with support from Sanzo, JUMO, Happier Grocery, and L&L Hawaiian BBQ. Simultaneously, we executed a weeklong gifting suite for 25 NYC-based creatives, with photographer Omi Tanaka capturing portraits of recipients throughout SoHo.
The content generated the highest-performing social posts in nanamica's Instagram history when shared organically and via nanamica Global, creating a culturally relevant campaign that honored the brand's legacy while significantly expanding their New York community.
